El Dorado Hops
El Dorado is a relatively recent hop developed in the Yakima Valley region. It is a dual-purpose hop to be used from the boil up to a dry hop. This hop is becoming more and more popular in the commercial world, especially when paired with the more well-known hops. Tropical fruit flavours, especially pineapple and mangoes, are in the taste. At the same time, pear, watermelon and stonefruit are more on the aroma side. This makes it a solid choice for brewing pale ales and IPAs, even the more juicy versions.
