East Kent Golding Hops

Wildly known as the archetypal English hops, Goldings has been used for hundreds of years. Used in English style pale ales, dark ales and even porters. Goldings will give you a gentle earthy bitterness; however, it is mainly used for aroma. The characteristics wouldn't seem strange in an old English kitchen with lavender, thyme, spices and honey often being noted. Perhaps a reason it has been a staple for so long.
