Ella is an Australian hop with close family ties to Galaxy. However, while it does have some similar characteristics, it is a different experience altogether. Users of Ella Hops can expect subtle tropical and stone fruit aromas. As far as the taste of the beer, expect some tropical flavours, but also mixed with a resin-like pine finish. Ella can also be used in the boil and late/dry hop, making it a great option for the scale’s lighter end. Styles such as lagers, summer ales and pale ales would be best suited for Ella.
